The Alpilles, a taste of Provence: The Alpilles form a mountain massif located at north of Bouches-du-Rhône, between Arles and Avignon. They rise to an altitude of just 496 metres, offering superb panoramic views.
Their landscapes have always inspired artists and writers, such as Van Gogh and Alphonse Daudet, not forgetting Frédéric Mistral, a native of Maillane.
